CEF Reimbursable Course (CEF Course Code: 44Z127642)
The society has increasingly embarked on the journey towards sustainable development. Organisations and enthusiasts from all walks of life are hoping to make real changes at the community level, such as enhancing community cohesion and community well-being. However, collaborating with community stakeholders and making good use of local resources are no easy tasks. The “Community Partnerships” course of the Academy for Sustainable Communities analyses urban and rural communities and introduces real cases and practical tools for effective community partnerships in online and offline contexts.
The course is taught by seasoned community project practitioners. Mr Tse Chun Man has been engaged in Wan Chai community work for over 20 years at St. James’ Settlement, covering areas such as urban redevelopment, community economic mutual aid programmes, social enterprise operations, and community education promotion. Ms Sally Chun has been promoting rural community development in Mainland China for 15 years. Before retiring, she worked as a project coordinator for rural projects at the Hong Kong Community Partners Foundation, launching collaborative projects and extensively participating in community investigations, eco-farming, and traditional culture issues.
